Rail-fan Pictures of the Bartlett Engine House

This is a section of the former Maine Central Mountain Division that is now run by the Conway Scenic Railroad (CSRX). Bartlett was the base for the Mountain division helpers and had a station that had a 2 stall diesel engine house in one end and taller one stall diesel engine shed. The round house had it's turntable removed to accommodate several 2-6-6-2 articulated engines that were assigned to the helper task, and a wye was installed to turn these engines.

The station, at 76 Albany Ave, 44°04'35.7"N 71°16'54.6"W, and round house, at 1395 Main St, 44°04'36.2"N 71°17'14.6"W are still there and the Conway Scenic Railroad runs an excursion to Bartlett and back to North Conway. Also, the trips up the notch must pass by here.
